NEWCASTLE, July 2. The steamer Balmain has returned to port. She met with an accident to her steering gear at the entrance to the port and grounded, hut got, oil shortly.Only skilful management carried her past the Oyster Bank to sea. where temporary repairs were effected, and she returned.
