How •would the Government look now, after •the great knock-out it got at Wednesday night’s meeting, at the hands ot the ratepayers, who, t 0 pu way of thinking, should say whether we want amalgamation or not. .lr F. Harris, one of the champions ui amalgamation, has run his race m this matter, and before he ever comes again to put a lot of nonsense down people's throats, let him consider, is he to run the -show, or like severing bis connection with the Government, are Kiev to go bung ?
