EXCESSES AT CAPETOWN AND DURBAN.

Tho local newspapers strongly condemn their excesses, and regret that tho distinguished records of colonial contingents in the field have been tarnished by disgraceful scenes at tho seaports. Mr Barton is inquiring into the matter. He believes tho Australians concerned aro irregulars, and not connected wit the contingents.
