EXCESSES AT CAPETOWN AND DURBAN.
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, July 7. Several discharged colonials have beeu arrested at Capetown and Durban on charges of rioting. Tho local newspapers strongly condemn their excesses, and regret that tho distinguished records of colonial contingents in the field have been tarnished by disgraceful scenes at tho seaports. Mr Barton is inquiring into the matter. He believes tho Australians concerned aro irregulars, and not connected wit the contingents.
