A Stormy Meeting.
(Per Press Association). WANGANUI, last night. A stormy meeting of shareholders of the Up-river Settlers' Steamship Company was held yesterday afternoon. It was reported that i the Company had lost over £2OOO in iiyo years, and the management was severely criticised. The offer of Hat-rick and Co., proprietors of the rival line of steamess, of £3200 fori the Aotea waf» refused, and the meeting adjourned for a fortnight, With a view, of securing further capital and changing the management.
