GOOD RECORD FOR THE WEST COAST. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Hokitika, last night. In the Supreme Court to-day, the case of Rex v. William Gregory, charged with attempted rape, indecent assault, and theft on and from a girl of 18, committed at Murchison in March, was concluded. The jury, after au absence of 20 minutes, found accused not guilty. This was the only criminal case for tho whole of the West Coast for six months. In civil jurisdiction, an action, McLean v. Dovereaux, to determine the question of the wife’s liability for her husband’s debt’s, under certain conditions, was commenced,
