MANAWATU GORGE
THIBD SLIP AT ONE PLACE IN A WEEK. By Telegraph—Press Association. Palmerston North, last night. To-day a slip of considerable magnitude I came down in the Manawatu Gorge, blocking tho railway traffic, and the passengers by the afternoon train had to bo transhipped. It is expected that besides removing the block on tho lino a considerable portion of the hill will have to be brought down in order to prevent further slips. This is tho third time tho hill has slipped at this place within the week.
