When oho left Mercury Bay at 10 a.m. on Thursday a strong W. ana N.W. broezo was experienced through the Bay of Plenty, wiin a nasty cross N.W. and S. W. sea. Bounding Bast Cape ai 780 a.m. on Friday the scow Uiuroa was sighted awuv out to sea standing in to wards the Cape. Bight N., N id., and N.W. winds prevailed down the Coast. Her cargo Consists of : Stafford 8116 ft of timber, Hkeet 14,716 ft, County Counci 1‘2,469ft, Kennedy and .Evans 45,064 ft, lo order 1804 ft, Williams and Kettle 6994 StttVOS.
The schooner Gisborne commenced loading timber for Gisborne from toe Whitiangtt Mills on Wednesday last. The U.S.S. Company’s s.s. Waikare arrived from Southern ports on Saturday, and proceeded to Auckland and Sydney at 11 a.m. Passengers :—Outward For Sydney : Messrs Chandelor and G. M. .Deane, For Auckland : Misses Johnston, Petersen, Carden, Evans, Scouts ; Mesdarnos Stafford and child, Rossini, Hodloy and throe ohildren ; Messrs O'Keefe, Coleman, Griffiths, Diane, Earle, Rossini, Hodge, Rutoliffo, Toa, Takata, Clayden, Spoeohley, Bowden, Hodley, and Constablo Crawford.
Tho Union Company’s s.s. To Anau arrived from Auckland at 8.15 p.m. yesterday, and resumed her voyage to Southorn ports during tho evening. Passengers : Inward : Mesdames Robertson and child, Wight, Thompson, Brailsford, Burch, and Buffell ; Misses Warmington, Hoopor (2), and Evans ; Messrs Carr, Brailsford, Clayden, Cave, Woods, Wight, Thompson, C. Codd, Roper, Hepburn, Brown, Tuckor, Magor, Mardon, and lion. Jas. Carroll. Outward : Mesdames Solvander, Sampson and child ; Mieses Gill, Sidey, and Blain ; Mossra W. Cooper, B. J. Bright, C. A.
