CONSIDERABLE DECREASE IN WHEAT AND OATS. [ill TEUEGIUPH. IUIESJ ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, last night. Tonight's Gazette contains a roturn of acreage under corn crops and the amount of gram on hand. Tho area of wboat this year for threshing is 194,274 acres, an increase of 80,812. Tho area of oats for threshing is 481,461 acres, an ineroaso of 75,587, For chuffing, fooding, etc., thore aro 204,760 acres, an increase of 5252. Of barley for threshing there are 27,905 acres, nn increase of 1891 acres. Of feeding down with stock thore are 2105 acres, a decrease of 4311 acros ; rye for threshing 1729 acres, an increase of 109 acres; ruaizo for threshing 12,029 acres, a docreaso of 474 acres ; peas for threshing 8600 acres, an increase of 1858 acres; beans for threshing 3033 acres, adecroaso of 471 acres ; hops 788 acres, a decrease of 50 acres. Tho quantity now on hand is 180,4211b5, a deoroase of 55,2771b5. As anticipated, says tho roturn, there is a considerable shrinkage of wheat on hand, tho figures being this year 1,280,785 mshcls. Last year there were 3,182,007 bushels, or a decrease of 1,951,222 bushels. In oats on hand a largo decrease is also shown, viz., 1,715,429 bushels for 1902-3 as against 2,771,286 bushels for tho previous year, boing a deoroase of 1,055,057 bushols.
