ST. MARY'S CONVENT.
CONCERT AND PRIZE DISTRIBUTION. Yesterday a very pleasing ceremony in connection with the breaking-up of school and distribution of prizes took place in St. Mary’s school, Haiti, in tho presence of a large number of tijo parents and friends of the pupils. Tho following programme was gone through in a most creditable manner, and was well received Chorus, “ Many Happy Roturns of tho Day,” pupils ; pianoforte duet, “ Fairy Queen,” Misses Currie and Fitzgerald ; violin solo, “ Mcrkol's waltz in G,” Misses Booth and Power ; vocal duct, 11 Mazing,” Misses Golding anil Power ; pianoforte solo, *' Sparkling Dewdrops,” Miss D. Parker ; violin solo, “ llopo Told a Flattering Talc,” Miss L. Power ; vocal solo, “ Sancta Maria,” Miss Golding ; pianoforte solo, “ Blue Bells of Scotland,” Miss Liddoll ; chorus, “ Vacation is Near,” pupils ; recitation, 11 Premium Day,” Misses Power, Parkor, and Honnossy; chorus, “ Merry, Merry Christuius,” pupils. After tho programme the prizes woro presented to tho pupils by Rev. Father McGuiness, tho first being an artistic silver medal inlaid with a gold shield, presented to Miss Dora Booth for good conduct and amiability. Tho certificates for tho last Theoretical Examination from Trinity College, London, were then presented, after which tho visitors adjournod to tho largo dining-hall, whero aftornoon toa was served by tho grown pupils, which was followed by an inspection of the painting, carving, fancywork, etc., executed by tho pupils during the yoar.
