SCHALKBUIIGER’S PECULIAR PLEA. A FAREWELL SERMON. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, Dec. 31. Schalkburgor, in a letter to the Onsland, appealed to tho Government to amnesty rebels, enabling all to forgive and forget. Ho urged Africanders to tenaciously cling to tho language, religion, and morals, avoiding narrow mindedness and remain loyal while righteousness reigns and Africanders receive their rightful portion. Capetown, Deo. 81.
V. Lolt, in a farewell sermon at Piequet berg, declared that he had been hounded out of the congregation for the awful sin of loyalty.
