STRANGE CARELESSNESS.

DISCHARGING CARGO ON TO RAILWAY LINE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Napier, last night. A peculiar incident occurred at the Port this afternoon. Cargo was being discharged from the steamer Tangaroa, and some of it had beon placed on the railway line, which runs along the breastwork, with the result that a locomotive running on the line ploughed into cases of fruit, furniture, etc., piling up debris for several yards.
