Clifton Handicap.—Romanoff 1, Perfection 2, Rangitata 3. Cave also ran. A great race, a bare head separating the placed horses. Time 1.22 3-5, div. H 5 Bs.
•Telegraph Handicap.—Mussel 1, Contingent 2, Ganger 3. Also ran: Rebellious and Dalkey. Won by three lengths. Time 1.22 2-5, divs. £2 10s and 16s.
Hurdles.—Light 1, Ashleaf 2, Hauriri 3. Also ran: Roer and Kohunui. Time 3.26 3-5, div. £2 4s. Hack Hurdles.—Moleskin 1, Merry Boy 2, Beau Ideal 3. Also ran : Otairi, Old Gun, In-the-Van, and De-De. Time 3.0, divs. £ls 14s and 13s. Killaymoon Hack. —Hard Work 1, Wairere 2, Lifebelt 3. Also ran : Dick Turpin, It was a neck victory. Time 2.5 25. Div., £2 4s. Greatford Stakes.—Motor 1, Dexterity 2, Bowman 3. Also ran : Toa and Van. Won by a long head. Time, 2.14. Divs., £2 Is and 16s. Welter Hack.—Shrapnel 1, Merry Boy 2, Gift 3. Also ran: Explorer, Ashleaf, Gold Mine, Rouble. Divs., £1 8s and HI
11s. In the hurdle race Kohunui ran off, and Roer unseated bis rider. In the haok hurdles, which was won by Moleskin by a head, Dedo fell at the first fence. For the two day’s £11,643 was put through the machine, as against £10,428 lastyear.
