The weather was showery to-day for the sperts, and the attendance was not up to expectations. The results of the principal events were ; 75yds Handicap.—Hegarty and W. W. Paterson ran a dcad-heat for first, with J. W. Green third. Milo Bicycle.—W. McKenzie (20yds) 1, A. White (30yds) 2, M. Wilson (40yds) 3. Oamaru Handicap, 20'Jyds.—G. Me* Figue 1, F. Courtenay 2, W. J. Hunter 3. One and a-half Milo Bicycle.—W. J. Gibson 1, J. A. White 2, Jordan 3. The Bluff Guards won the tug-of-war. Half-Mile Handicap.—J. Teckeney 1, D. Smith 2, S. Barnes 3. Two milo Bicycle—J. Ritchie 1, M. McKenzie 2, M. Wilson 3. Mile Handicap.—S. Barnes 1, A. Cowling 2, W. Pilcher 3. Smith did not start.
