"What has become of the isolation ward proposal '■ asked Cr Wkinray at the Council meeting last night. “It has been dropped for the time being,” said the Mayor. “ The question of funds prevented it being gone on with,” said Cr Jones. Cr Whinray said that he understood that medical officers had some diffidence in insisting upon most stringent regulations, owing to there being no provision for isolation.
