GIVING THE STATE A TUEN'

A conference of Irish landlords and tenants, presided over by Lord Dunraven, unanimously recommended that State aid be given to settle the land difficulty.- It was considered that in substitution for dual ownership occupiers should be given proprietary rights on payment of equitable prices on the basis of their income, the amounts to be guaranteed by the State.
