The Premier visited Ross to-day, and had a most enthusiastic reception. He was received at the town boundary by the Mayor, Councillors, and citizens, when a cavalcade was formed, headed by the town baud, and he was escorted to the Town Hall, where the Mayor read an address to him, to which he replied, subsequently addressing tlio senoot children. He is being entertained this evening at o banquet, at which a crowded representative attendance of the southern sottlers were piesout. This afternoon Mr Beddon received a number of deputations.
