Jt is understood that Mr Enabling, general manager of the Bank of New Zealand, retires, and Mr Michie, of Dunedin, who has been appointed to act temporarily, will probably be his successor. An accident happened yesterday to a young man named Patrick Breen, working at the Low. Level Mine, who in some accountable manner fell downone of the passes, SOit. He was picked up unconscious', and conveyed to the hospital. Fortunately, no bones were broken, but his head and other parts oi the body were badly bruised. Breen was delirious last night, but his condition was improving.
