A RUSSIAN’S CHEEK.
WANTS THE WOMEN ENSLAVED
By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyrigh Sydney, Jan. 9.
M. Kraffcff, the Russian Commissioner, interviewed repeated charges of want of industry amongst Australian farmers. He said he was surprised that women and girls did not help the farmers more. He added that women do no want work, but prefer to play, to go to picnics, and to read novels. People here did not marry sufficiently. The men feared to marry because they didn't want to be burdened with extravagant useless wives. Australians eat too much delicate food and not good, strong, and healthy food.
