At the Primitive Methodist Conference tho following is tho first draft of ministers and stations :

To-night Mr C. M. Luke, retiring Presinant delivered an address to a crowded congregation. He referred to the loss to Christendom by the death of such men as Archbishop Temple, Dr. Parker, and Eev. Hugh Price Hughes; to New Zealand, Bishop Cowie, and to Primitive Methodists by tho death of Councillor Trenworth, of Auckland. He denounced gambliug and legalising the totalisator, and Sabbath deseoration. He regarded the increase of the no-license vote as a matter for thankfulness, and trusted that the Church would make more vigorous efforts against the evil and fresh exertions for the kingdom of Christ- Mr Luke was presented with a cabinet copy of the Scriptures. Tho Mayor welcomed the conference at Ashburton on behalf of the Borough Council.
