Pride of Scotland was imported to New Zealand by Ja;. Walls, Esq., Kaiapoi, having been purchased in Glasgow, at the enormous sum of fifteen hundred guineas. Standard Duke was imported by Mr Chambers, of Hawke’s Bay. For further information, see Stud Book. It was not purposed to have stood Young Duke this season, and this is only done at special request. All mares sent to Young Duke will be attended to by an experienced man (Mr G. A. S. Taylor), who will make all arrangements as to fees, etc. Young Duke’s services this season will be placed as low at possible for a sire of his class. The terms will be : Single mare, £3 ; two mares or more, £2 10s. All fees are payable to myself, or the groom-in-charge, Mr G. A. S. Taylor. One month’s paddocking free after than 3s 6d per week will be charged.,
