King Alfonso and Christina were returning from church at Madrid on Saturday evening, when a man named Feito tired a pistol at the carriage, but injuring nobody. Hearing the report the Kiug put his head out of the window- Christina pulled him back. Feito was arrested. He declared that he meant to kill the Duke of Sotomayor, Grand Chamberlain, whose carriage preceded that of tiie King. Letters addressed to President Roosevelt, King Edward, the Kaiser, and Czar were found in Feito’s pockets. He denies that he is an Anarchist, but admits that he was once in a lunatic asylum. The man is clearly insane.
