In the presonco of a largo gathering of intor-Stato visitors, Lady Forrest opened tho festivities in connection with the Coolgardio water supply scheme, starting tho machinery at No. 1 pumping station. Mr J. S. Talbot, formerly of Tokomaru Bay, claims to bo the founder of this great pumping scheme.
