Lator. —At the wool sales to day thore was not so much speculative buying as at tho first Bale, while tho weakor tendency in London reduced buyors’ lirnitß for certain classes. Beßt fine crossbred and halfbred maintained values ; medium, faulty, aud inferior lino and coarso were a halfpenny to three farthings lower than at tho first salo. Pieces, etc., wero also a halfpenny lower. Considerable quantities wero passed at auction, but there wero heavy bookings after tho sales. Good bright crossbred brought 6ld to 7d ; medium and inferior ditto, 4id to s£d; halfbred, 7ld to 8ld; others, sld to 6id; bellies and pieces, 3d to 4d; locks, lid to 2d.

The Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London offico Wool: The sales closed this day. Prices aro about par to 5 per cent, higher for fine greasy crossbred and scoured merino, about 5 per cent higher for greasy merino superior and crossbred slipo, and 15 to 20 per cent higher fjr all oxcopt greasy merino inferior. Prices are par to 5 per cent lower for greasy merino medium. The sales at the opening were strong, but became weaker towards the close. The following is- the average current London value of the undernoted descriptions of New Zealand greasy wool: Good merino 13|d, medium merino 12d, inferior merino 9£d, fine crosssbrcd 12d, medium crossbred 9d, coarse (40s) 6£d, coarse crossbred (365) 6d.
