At a meeting of the Premier’s Presentation Committee, the treasurer stated that £SBO had been collected for the National Purse in Auckland, and after expenses wero paid, £(340 remained. It was resolved that when the date of the Premier’s visit is ascertained the general committee arrange for the presentation of a testimonial in the shape of a purse of sovereigns.
