In connection with the recently-formed Association for the promoting of the Association’s inquiring into the food supply at war time, tho Duke of Sutherland presided at a large meeting whereat the Association duly initiated a deputation appointed to interview Government on the subject. Lord Strathcona said that it would be a great relief to the Motherland and the colonies if measures for the security of food in war time were initiated.
