LOCAL OPTION POLL

(Per Press Association),

Dunedin, last night,

A written decision was received from Mr .Justice Williams in the case in which it was sought to restrain Mr Graham, S.M., from hearing a petition against local option poll. This decided that Mr Carew is Magistrate for Port Chalmers, and that plaintiff is entitled to a writ of prohibition with £5 costs and disbursements to be paid by defendants other than Mr Graham. It is understood this disposes of the petition, as it was addressed to Mr Graham and cannot now be proceeded with by Mr Carew.
