Trentham, last night, Tho Biflo Association meeting openod at ten this morning. For the Auckland Match the entries received numbered 341, or about 40 more than last year. The arrangements all round appear to be very satisfactory. Additional targets havo been erected, which will enable 29 squads to firo, and a number of minor improvements havo been made to remedy defects noticeable at the previous meeting. Colonel Somerville is in charge of affairs, assisted by Colonel Collins. No pains havo boen spared on the part of tho officers to make tho mooting a success. The woathor is all that can be desired. There are passing light clouds, but little wind. The firing of the first stage of the Aucklond match, 200 yards, has concluded. Tho new system of individual scoring cards makes it impossible to get the complete scores until the match has been finished. Williams (Taradale) and Howard (Napier Guards) made the possible. Cox (Auckland), Parslow (Ohinemuri), Lester (Christchurch), McHattie (Masterton), Liout. Okoy (Taranaki Hides), Stevonson (Wellington Guards) made 34 each. The 500yds range was started at 1 p.m., and is unlikely to be completed bofore 4.30. There are eight prizes in tho match from JE6 6s to £l, absorbing £63. The weather is settled. . Later. —In the 500yds shoot Ching, of Nelson, and Davidson, Wavorley, are possible winners, with avorages of 68 and 66, Corns (Ohinemuri), Small (Kaitangata). Hyde (Opaki), Maingay (Piako), Turner (Wellington) are next, their aggregates being 68, 67, 66, 66. Major Okey fired the opening shot of tho meeting. In the Auckland Match, 200yds, 500yds, and 600yds, seven shots, the following were tho prizetakers : —Hyde, Otaki, £6, 100; Lester, Canterbury Engineers, £5, 100; Turner, Wellington, £4, 99; Cox, Auckland, £4, 99 ; Speck, Stratford, £3, 98; Ching, Waimca, £3, 98; Wilson, Petone, 97 ; Webster, Akarana, 97 ; Heetley. Huttings, 96 ; Bait, Kaitangata, 96 ; Davidson, Wairoa, 96; Williams, Taradale, 96; King, Opaki, 96; Sandford, Christchurch, 95 ; Ayson, East Taierj, 95 ; Milroy, Nelson, 95 ; Parnell, Paten, 95; Smail, Kaitangata, 95 ; Hardy, Blenheim, 95 ; Turnbull, Opaki, 94 ; Kemp, Christchurch, 94 ; Barrackough, Wanganui, 94 ; Lt. Okey, Taranaki, 94 ; Howard, Napier, 94 ; Burns, Karori, 94 ; Searle, Caversham, 94 ; Irvine, Waimea, 94 ; Ballinger. Petone, 94 ; Honry, Opaki, 94 ; Brown Hauraki, 94 each, £2 each. E. J. Neill, waiter in camp, took tl yesterday. His condition is serious this evening. He was removed in an ambulance to the City Hospital. He is supposed to bo suffering from scarlet fever. The general health of the camp is good.
