Lieutenant Orolly, of the Nigerian forces, and 14 men recently had a gallant fight for several hours, defending a Southern Nigerian village against 1000 Indebe Afikpoos. They repeatedly cheeked desperate rushes made by the natives, and ultimately withdrew with the inhabitants of the village. Subsequently Crolly was reinforced, and dispersed the Afikpoos at ‘ha point of the bayonet. v - .' -Henaiker, with 250 men, traversed Major -- sV ,(j(j ue (3 the Afiktho Indebe county pooß after stiff fighting.
