Winners of any handicap after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of 71bs. All open races except Maiden and District Welter race. The district shall bo tho Waiapu County boundaries. Horses must have been owned and in tho district at least three znonthß previous to races. Nominations for all handicaps must be in tho handß of the becretary before 8 p.m. on EEBRUaRY 7th, 11)03, accompanied by nomination fees, name, age, pedigree, and performances, also colors of riders. Weights deolared on FEBRUARY 14th, and general entry night. Acceptances due on FEBRUARY 28th, at 8 p.m., at lieedy’s Hall, Tuparoa. All protests to be given in writing within 15 minutes of race, and accompanied by a deposit of 2 sovs, which shall bo forfeited if protest not sustained. All races run under Metropolitan rules.
