Mr Toutcher moved that an address be presented to the King praying him to end the present Governor’s term of appointment, and the question of future Governors be taken into consideration.

The Council docided to insist on all its amendments in tho Reform Bill, excepting one fixing the qualification of the electors rental at twenty pounds, This was reduced to £ls.

Brisbane, March 6, Queensland’s gold yield last year, excluding smelting works returns was £640,463 ounces, valued at £2,720,000, an increase of £179,000 in value as compared with the previous .year, Perth, March 6.
