ROWING
Tho annual contests betweon the Gisborne, Poverty Bay, Union, and Napier Rowing Clubs are to evontuato at Easter. Great interest is being manifested in the fixtures in local rowing circles, and it is expected that some very exciting races wfll be witnessed. The Selection Committee of tho Poverty Bay Rowing Club mot last evening, and selected the following crevvs to uphold the honor of their Club and to' keep their well-known “ rooster,” the contending object of many an inter-club race, to watch over the welfare of the shed I Sbniors.
