NEW PLYMOUTH, last night. The libel action, Rev. B. Hutson v. Robert Morrison, a farmer, claiming £3OOO damages, has been settled. The parties reside at Stratford, and alleged libel arose out of defendant's remarks on plaintiffs sermons. The terms of the settlement are that defendant unreservedly withdrew all the charges or imputations against the conduct or character of plaintiff, and expressed regret that any unpleasantness or misunderstanding should have occurred.
