Tho Union Company’s s.s. Moura arrived from South early yesterday morning, and loft for Auckland at 9. Passengers : Outward : Miss Corcoran ; Mesdames Steele, Murray, Shaw and infant; Messrs Murray, Clements, Macnicol, Whitebouse, Tucker, Shaw, McLellan, Joll. The schooner Waiapu will sail for Tokomaru Bay and Bototahia at the first opportunity to load wool for this port.

The Shaw-Savill steamer Aotea arrives here to-morrow. She will load at this port from tho Gisborno Sheepfarmers’ Freezing Works about 10,000 carcases mutton, 200 casks tallow and pelts, and 200 bales wool. Messrs Common, Shelton and Co. are the loading agents. The Star of Australia is expocted to arrive in Auckland about April 16th.

Tho B.M.s. Sierra will leave Auckland for San Francisco on March 27th.

The Union Company’s steamer Hauroto finished discharging her cargo of raw sugar from Fiji at Chelsea, Auckland, on Monday, and left for Port Chalmers in the evening, whore she will bo docked for goneral overhaul. Tho name Manuka has been chosen for' tho new steamer which the Union Company are having built in Scotland for the intercolonial trade, on' similar lineß to the Moeraki.

Passengers by the New Zoaland Shipping Company’s new twin-screw steamer Kimutaka are requested to note that the date of the steamer’s sailing has been postponed for two days. The steamer will leave Wellington for London on Saturday, 21st inst. The Mission schooner Southern Cross leaves Auckland for Norfolk Island about March 23rd. -

Tho Bchooner Gisborne (Capt. Pankow) arrived in Auckland on Monday night, and started loading for Gisborno the following day.

The Union Co’s Mararoa arrivod at Auckland from Sydney on Monday, anchoring in the quarantine ground at 3.45 p.m. The hour of arrival was somewhat lator than usual for this oxpress steamer, but is accounted for by having encountered very , disagreeable and cross seas for the first day out, followed by a heavy head swell until making the Now Zealand coast. Taking everything into consideration, however, the Mararoa still upholds her reputation as a fast steamer. She left Auckland at 2.40 on Tuesday, and arrived here at 2 p.m, yesterday, after encountering a heavy south-east sea along the Coast. The following were passengers for this port:— Misses Somorvell, Stoney, McGavin, Wall, Dawson, Mitchell, Neill, Wilkins, Brown, Best; Mosdames Stewart, Dunlop, Wall, Wigg; Messrs Wall, St. Clayden, Collodge, Adair, Fraser, Thompson, Brown, Bruce, Watts, Prosser, Wellsmore, Monsod, Auto, Chadwick. The schooner Aotea arrived from Auckland yesterday aftornoon. She left tho northern port on Feb. 25, and had a good run to Omaio, where sho arrived on tho 28th. Discharging operations were completed at the Bay of Plenty on March Ist, and on tho 2nd she sheltered at Te Araroa from a southerly buster. Port Awanui, Whareponga, and Waipiro were made on the 3rd. Forty-live tons of cargo woro landed at Waipirq.pn f%.4th and sth, arriving at Tokomaru on day, and landed 21 tons of cargo. Tho schooner also shipped, on tho 6th, 80 bales of wool and 240 pockets of wool, and then came on to Tolago Bay, arriving at midnight, whore cargo was landed and a few bales of wool shipped. Sho sheltered there from a heavy southerly until this morning. Her cargo consists of 15 tons of coal, 15,000 ft timber, 10 tons sugar, 150 cases korosono, 100 bales wool, 240 pockets wool, 40 tons general cargo. The following booked passagos for South by the Mararoa last evening : Misses Brosnahan, Parker, Torr, Lopdell, Bishop, Morrissey, Prosser; Mesdames Chrisp, Patullo, Parker, Williams, Maclean, Clark, Hormer ; Messrs Barty, Finlay, Battray, Tront, Patullo, Allison, Parkor, Edwards, Moony, Colthers, Williams, Kelly, Applogarth, Brownall, Cockburn, Smith, Espie, and Sherlock Holmes Company (39). East Cape reported yesterday that the Moura passed North at 3.25 p.m. Messrs Bichardson and Co.’s s.s. Fanny arrived from Napier yesterday morning, bringing 12,050 ft timber for Dalgoty and Co., 339 posts for Williams and Kettle, and a large quantity of general cargo. Tho s.s. Weka arrived from Napier yes--terday morning. Her cargo consisted of 9623 ft timber for Messrs Mackroll and Colley, 2148 ft for Mr W. 0. Skeet, 688 ft for Mr Wade, 300 ft for Messrs Williams and Kettle, and sundries. Passengers : Mr Ormond and three Natives. The South African Steamship Company’s s.s.
