Major Taylor won his heat, but owing to the riders not pacing it has been ordered to be run again. The Kent Plate, of £SO, resulted: — Major Taylor 1, Don Walker 2, Morgan 3. Taylor ™ou, after a splendid spurt, by 24lengths. Time, 2m:n 1 l-ssec. Received 5.30 p.m., March 15. Sydney, March 15. Plunkett, of New Zealand, won the George Handicap, one mile, easily. Time, 1.56 3-5. The Phillip Plate, five miles, resulted : Macdonald (Victoria) 1, Forbes (New Zealand) 2, Walker (Victoria) 3. There was a splendid finish. Won by half a wheel. Time, 11.9 3-5. ,
