RAILWAY SUPERANNUATION,

Wellington, last night.
The election of five tuombers of the Government Railway Superannuation Fund Board to represent employees resulted:—First Division: North Island, George Brownlee, traffic cleric, Auckland ; South Island, Andrew Graham, stationmaster, Bluff. Second Division : Thomas Wilson, engine driver, Palmerston North ; C. Popper, ganger, Arauioho ; M. Thomas coalman, Invercargill. The members elected by this division are for the whole colony. The full Board consists of the five elected mombors already mentioned and tho following statutory officers : Minister of Railways, Public Trustee, SolicitorGoneral, and General Manager of Railways
AH CHEE'S OPIUM. Ah Chon, a fruiterer, was charged before the Stipendiary Magistrate to day with having been found in possession of 4Jlb of opium, contrary to the Opium Prohibition Act. For the defence it was stated that defendant had legally obtained possession of the opium before tbo Act outno into force. Mr McArthur reserved judgment.
