A SUCCESSFUL EXPEDITION.

Three thousand horsemen and ten thousand footmen surrendered at Kano, and are returning to thoir homos, boing satisfied with tho British assurances. Lieut.Colonol Morland’s march to Sokoto was unopposed, tho greatest obstacle being tho scarcity of water. Tho King and Mr Chamberlain have congratulated Sir F. Lugard, High Commissioner of Northorn Nigeria, on the results of tho expedition.
