Tho s.s. Talune arrives here early on Wednesday morning, and will proceed to Auckland at 8 a.m. Tho Weka arrives from Napier early this morning. The Tyser steamer Marero arrives from Wanganui late this evening; agents, Messrs Williams and Kettle, Ltd. The schooner Gisborne (Capt. Pankow) from Auckland was berthed at tho wharf yesterday morning. Sho left Auckland on Wednesday, and a fine trip wa3 experienced. Her cargo includes 23,000 ft of timber and 2 tons of lime, consigned to Mackrell and Colley ; 11,000 ft timber, to Kennedy and Evans ; 2000 ft timber and sundries, F. Stafford; 50 cases kerosene, W. A. O’Meara; 12 cases kerosene, J. MoKoe ; 26 tons coal, 8 tons pipes, 3 tons lime, 2 tons wire, Clayton Bros. The schooner was discharging cargo yesterday. Tho Waiapu loft last evening for Napier via Table Cape, whore Bhe will land a small quantity of sundries and 6000 ft of timber consigned to natives.
Tho schoonor Clyde leaves early this morning for Groymouth. H.M.S. Lizard arrived in tho bay yesterday afternoon. The Omaporo shipped wool at Tuparoa yosterday afternoon, tho sea having moderated, Sho expocts to finish this morning, and arrives this afternoon.
The British-India Co.’s s.s. Fazilka leaves Calcutta on April 7th with a cargo of Jute goods for Lyttelton and New Zealand ports. Tho s.s. Hawoa is expectod to leavo the Bluff on Shturday, April 4th, Oamaru 6th, and Timaru 7th.
