CHILD SWALLOWS A PIN.

[I)Y IELEOIUrn. —PIIES3 ASSOCIATION.] Napier, last night.

A singular death occurred at Norsowood on Monday ovening. A child, four years old, named Evelyn Fredrickson, daughter of Mr C. Fredericlcsen, of Ngumoko, died very suddenly. The mothor of tho child stated that deccasod had swallowed a pin and died ten minutes later. A doctor was sent for from Makotuku, but tho child had been dead somo time. When tho doctor arrived ho examined deceased, but could findTio traco of tho pin. A post mortem -will bo mado and an inquest held tomorrow.
