THE PROMISED REVELATIONS.

Jauros mado his promised rovolations ou the Dreyfus case. M. Jauros produced a letter dated August Gist, 1898, in which General Pellont wrote to M. Cavaignae, Minister for War :—“ lam a dupo of peoplo without honor. lam unable to rely with confidonco on my subordinates, without whom command is impossible. I am no longer able to trust those of my chiefs, who aro making mo act on forgeries, and I thoroforo ask to bo placed on the retired list.”
M. Brisson, who was Premier in 1898, interrupted the speakor, and said : “ The lettor was never communicated to mo.” M. Cavaignae replied : “ It did not behovo mo to notice a lottor which I beliovod tho writer regretted as soon as it was written.” M. Brisson : “ You withhold it from your Government. Bo thankful that there is an amnesty. You dosorvo to bo impeached.” M. Jauros urgod that tho lettor implied tho moral complicity of tho chiefs of tho army with Major Honry in the forgorios. Tho concealment of tho letter aggravated, ho said, tho significance of the forgerios, and pormittod a forgers’ clique to connect thomaolvos and renew tho campaign on tho basis of another forgery. Tho lotter in which tho words “ cotto canaille ” occupiod a placo was attributed by M. Jauros to tbo Gorman Emperor. M. Jauros rosumos his spooch to-day.

M. Andre, Ministor of War, stated thut tho Government intends to fucilitato the search for tho truth. Investigations by tho Minister of War has brought to light Pollioux’s letter, tho text of which was identical with Jauros’ statement. Magistrates would ussist at tho inquiry. (Cheers.)
Tho Chambor by 250 to 75 carried a voto of confidence in tho Government, together with a resolution to keep tho Dreyfus allair within tho judicial domain.
