[(Per Press Association.) Auckland, last night,
A dobating tournament betweon representatives of tho various University Collogos took placo on Saturday night, tho subject being the establishment of compulsory military sorvice for home dofonco of tho Empire. Tho Canterbury roprosentativos won, Otago boing placed second. Tho judges expressed tho opinion that such dobates woro instructive and beneficial. A musical comediotta was also given, tho hall boing crowded.
