The following report and were presented : “ The first report submitted to the shareholders is for the working period between the 28th of February and tiie ltitli July, 1902. The stock handled were 52,(3(32 sheep, 517 lambs, and 1147 cattle. There were necessarily many dilliculties encountered in the formation of the company and the initiation of a freezing business upon co-operative lines. These difficulties were happily surmounted. The profit tmuio from the half-season’s operations has had to he appropriated to strengthen the plant and accommodation in order to meet the rapidlyincreasing demands of shareholders and others for the treatment of their stock. We recommend you to hold your annual meeting not later than the last Saturday in the month of November. It is manifestly inconvenient to hold such meeting, as is being done this year, when the close of the ensuing season is not far distaut. While it is true the whole returns from a season’s shipments may not bo in, yet tho balance of convenience points in our opinion to the holding o' the annual meeting within the year. The directors to retire aro Messrs Frederick Hall, William Cooper, and Philip Kcmvay, who all oiler thomselves for re-election. Continued on page 4.
