The s.s. Herald left Westport at 5 o’clock this morning for Wellington and Napier. Sho should roach here on Friday. Tho iUararoa left for Auckland at ll a.m. on Saturday. Passengers—Outward : Misses Simsor. (2); Messrs Mac Nicol, liawson, Marsack, liobinson, Smith. The Waikare leaves Auckland at 2 p.m. to-morrow, and arrives hero on Wednesday afternoon.
Tlur.s.y. Tarawcra leaves Wellington at 4 p.m. to-day, and arrives hero on Wednesday. Tho schooner Aotea (Capt. J. Browne) left Auckland on April 9th at 2 p.m,, and had line weather across tho Hay of Plenty. Wakaruru was worked on the .10th, and To Kahn and O.naio on tho 11th. Ilaukokoro and Oruti were worked on tho 12th, leaving tho latter placo at 5 p.m. with a strong westerly wind. To Araroa was reached on the 13th, and Awanui on tho 14th. A cargo of titnbor was landed at Tuparoa and general cargo at Waipiro on the 15th. Cargo was landed at Tokomaru on tho 16th, and Tolago Hay on tho 17th. Waihau and l-’uatao wore worked on Saturday. Tho sea was heavy at lakarac, which prevented tho schooner from working. Port was made at 4.60 p.m. on Saturday. Her cargo consists of 10,000 ft timber, 10 tons iron, 10 tons sugar, 5 tons lime, 100 Hosts pipes, 110 sacks coal, 30 packages hard ware, and 10 tons of coast cargo for various consignees. Weather permitting, tho Aotea will leave for Coast ports and Auckland on Thursday. Tho ketch Coronation is still in port. Tho schooner Waiapu (Captain Martin) oft for Napier on Saturday night.
