Tho following is tho casualty list: — Killed: African Rifles, Major Plunkett, Captains Johnston, Stewart, Olivy, Morris, and MacKermon, Lieutenants Gaynor and JJeli; Second Sikhs, Captain Visey; Indian Medical Corps, Captain Simc, two British privates, 48 Sikhs, and 124 African Rifles. Lieutenant Chichester, of tho Somali Mounted Riflos, wa3 also killed, In tho action it is boliovod that 10,000 of tho onomy attacked the British forco under Major Plunkett. Colonel Cobbo has advanced towards Gumburru, and is encamped with plenty of food and four days’ water. Ho is now unable to withdraw, the thick scrub favoring tho onomy. Tho War Oilico docs not regard Colonel Cobbo’s position as desperate. Goncral Manning, v/itli 2000 men, returns to Galadi after extricating Colonel Cobbe.
