The French financiers who associated with Germany in tho desire to make tho Bagdad railway demand increased control and this threatens tiro whole scheme. The Russian newspapers arc delighted at Britain’s action in discountenancing tho Bagdad railway, thus checkmating Germany in Asia Minor.
