BIBLE IN SCHOOLS.

Wellington, last night.
The Scripture Text Book Conference has concluded; its deliberations. An unanimous decision was arrived at in ref>ard to the series of lessons comprised in tho Victorian scheme, which will be recommended for use in schools ; but the terms and scope of the resolution have not been announced. A revising committee was appointed to go through the work of the Conference before submitting the same to the Premier. The Chairmnn (Dr Gibb), Dean Harper (Christchurch), Revs. Sprott (Wellington), Gillam (Auckland), Luxford (Lyttelton), Saunders (Dunedin) ; Messrs Aitken, M.H.E. (Wellington), Bedford, M.H.R. (Dunedin), Bevan Brown (Christchurch),Button (Auckland), and the Secretary (Mr Fleshor, of Christchurch), were appointed a committee to further proseerne Jt-ha movement, Dr. Gill to be convener. The Dunedin member, with the Dean of Cbristcharcb, were appointed the cxccutivo of tho committee.
