Wellington, last night,
At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Union to night, a resolution that the larger union should assist the country unions by allowing a reasonable per centago of gate receipts of matches towards travelling expenses, was negatived. The secretary stated tbat no definite arrangement bad be'on made for financing the team which it was proposed to send to England, owing to the absence of definite information in regard to probable gate receipts. Tbe incoming committee would continue negotiations.
