JAMES SVIcKEE, Gladstone Road, Gisborne,
The mails which left Auckland via ’Frisco on March 27th, arrived in London on April 29th. A cablegram from London stales that Mr Oadman has successfully placed the Waimangaroa coal lease in connection with ill's ironsand scheme. “ It is the young men who have nothing to do that get into trouble,” remarked the Kev. J. G. Paterson last evening. “ They perambulate the street, and graduate in the education of the street corner, which, unless they are very careful, will drag them down to perdition.”
