CLAIM FOR SALARY AND DAMAGES.

The Chief Justice this commenced tho hearing of the case in which Donald Kerr, formerly Government bmcK Inspector in Otago and Canterbury, claims four years’salary and damages from the Crown for deprivation of office. Su PP llf^l fc was relieved of bis duties in June, loJo, but it was not until last October that he was gazetted out of tho sorvico. Tho case stands partly heard.
