CITIZEN FOUND DYING IN A PADDOCK.

Per Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, last night, Edward Yales .Simpson, who held an important position in Simpson ami Williams, Limited, booksellers of this city, was found in a dying condition in a paddock between Richmond and Burwood, at three o’clock Ibis morning. lie died ‘before medical assistance readied him. fie had been in very depressed spirits recently, and left his home yesterday afternoon at three o’clock Groans attracted the attention or two men passing the paddock. Nothing lias yet transpired to show the cause of death, hut no external n arks of violence were found on the l>. dy. Simpson was highly respected and the news of his tragic death has caused deep regret.
