THE TEAM TO TOUR AUSTRALIA.

(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, lasi, night. The Management, Committee of the Now Zealand Rugby Union met tonight. Removals of disqualifications from players by the Auckland and Wanganui Unions were endorsed. The Nelson Union’s application for the removal of disqualification from two players was refused. The following were appointed to pick the New Zealand representative team for the New South Wales and Queensland, tour :—Messrs F. Murray (Auckland), J. C. Fache (Wellington), and F. T„ Evans (Christchurch), and tiie sore selector to he this week appointed by the Otago Rugby Union. The selectors arc to meet in Wellington not later than Hie 20th June to . pick the team, which will leave for Australia on tlie 11 tit July. This team is to play a match in Wellington on the same day that they depart for Sydney. It was decided to suggest to tiie New South Wales Union that the last match of the tour lie played at Sydney on Tuesday, 18th August, the team to leave for home from Sydney (via Auckland) on Wednesday, .tilth August. It was unanimously resolved that tiie North v. South Island match be played at Auckland on Wednesday, 2(ith August, the teams to lie selected by tiie aforesaid selectors for their respective islands. Mr A. C. Norris was unanimously elected to lie manager of the New Zealand leant on its tour of Australia. A sub-committee consisting of Messrs Fache and Dixon was appointed to revise the by-laws of the Union, and to report to the Committee before the end of July.
